After initially being locked in a corner of his own mind, everything had become an indistinct blur of pain and confusion. Rowan was barely aware of anything now, having lost all sense of form. Flickering between nightmares; both of horrific, bloody events much like he had already seen during the painful change. And many of his own worst memories, which Arochondal often seemed to actually force him into reliving. Often the evil spirit’s voice would echo throughout it all, saying the same thing. Why fight this? I have seen into your mind. Is it really worth fighting? Why not rest until oblivion comes at the new moon… —---------------------================------------------------- Rowan was seven again. He sat in the office of the principal, fingers beating a sullen rhythm against his leg. The principal had never liked him, but that dislike was clearly stronger than ever. If the disgusted curl of his lower lip was anything to go by. Rowan wasn't an expert at reading

Java woke up the next morning, feeling about as bad as she had last night. Her sleep had been marred by a dream-the vampire couldn’t remember much about it, only that it had been disturbing. She’d had somewhat off dreams before, admittedly. They had never made much sense, either, but this was the first time Java had felt actively disturbed by one. She recalled faint impressions of some dark force, flitting calls from misty figures who she couldn’t identify. A particular voice rising above the others, deeper, more familiar…a voice Java felt she had heard in a time before her first memories had properly formed. Raking a hand through her black hair, she sleepily stumbled out of her messy bed and instantly made for her paper strewn desk. Near the desk was a makeshift clothing rack, hung with outfits she was in the middle of sewing. Normally, the morning sun casting its glow on her bedroom walls, papered with astrology posters and lined with shelves stacked with books, was a tranquil

Rowan did his best to traverse the mansion's foyer quickly. It was a gaudy affair of scarlet curtains and gold rimmed furniture, coupled with thick and ridiculously ornate rugs, and marching rows of pedestals housing expensive vases. He didn’t give any of it the time of day, climbing the giant main staircase to the second floor in record time. This despite how his earlier feeling of sickness had only intensified. He still didn't think he was in danger of hurling...but Rowan was keen to lie down before it became a possibility. It annoyed him that getting his hands cut up had somehow caused this. Rowan by all accounts had a strong stomach. It’s probably nothing. Maybe just a stomach bug. A part of him still wasn’t convinced. He traversed the darkened hallway, passing his cousin's dark room; Hawthrone was either still out at the pegasus stables, or asleep. Given he often took advantage of his mother-Rowan's Aunt Ayta- being out of town to stay overnight at the stables, Rowan had

Meeting the Family - Valentine
The Girl at the Table The ballroom was very large and elegant that night, full of music and light. The large chandeliers hung above the crowds of chatting, eating, or dancing people around the room. The room was covered in the colors of white, gold, and silver with tables covered in exquisite foods and drinks lining the walls of the room. The music floated around the room from instruments that played themselves on a small stage in front of the dance floor, where multiple couples danced. At one of the many round tables with their white tablecloths and vase of white roses sat Joel, Drago, Joel’s uncle-in-law Ormand Gwydion, and his cousin Nero. Joel ate another bite of his slice of cake as he watched his Aunt Nyoka socializing with some of the other wealthy-looking guests of the clearly high-class party, “Do you guys think Aunt Nyoka likes all the people she talks to, or do you think she’s learned how to fake it?” Ormand chuckled, “Oh, I know she’s faking for some of them. She

Tumbling along the coastline
While walking along the shoreline, I merge upon the smooth wet sands at the beach. The scenery, as I gradually edge closer to the oceanfront, is peaceful. That is until a wildly vivid shallow ocean wave, swiftly eddies inland. Drawing nearer, surrounding me at once, and floods the expanse with deepening flow.
It is quite as if the liquid landscape beneath me turns of its own accord, cascading inland across the direction of my approach. The dramatically whirling waves move quickly along, and create a sense of turbulence.
I wade into the forming slurry, across the rapidly desolidifying sands. The

Bleudaptoatl- The Geoproteanthrope Pod surges with pressure from a central cavity. Inside stirs the egg-bearing Lotaurelious. When the Lotaurelious reaches maturity the Pod’s thoracic segmental hatch breaches hold and dispenses an inky fluid. Then the crystalline drone ejects itself into the ocean and wiggles itself to cleanse and begin its descent. Birthed, now the g

Ecology of the Life Bringer, Great Seeding of Many Terrestrial and Oceanic Worlds The fission pods are many fathoms deep under the gulf. Ecologically adept, each pod has the capacity of spawning a plethora of highly advanced flora and fauna. Poised for delivering a copious assortment of rapidly integrative mimicries, all the while offering to advance and enrich a host of natural selection along with an interdependence among similar species akin to its nature. With a vast microcosm of explicitly correlative symbioses, these microecologies, are introductive of many species capable of metamorphic convergence between the matrixes of animal, vegetable, and even the dramatic transmutation of minerals utilizing highly adaptive synergistic microbes to transmute the prevalent soil compositions. Microbialization of the soil begins with the rapid reproduction and dispersion of organisms ideally purposed for the rapid deconstruction of a specific range of material, establishing a foundation
Devastated by her call Hanging loneliness on the wall Portrait of what It had to be Without you I can not feel Memories in the head Happy alone is not fair I am sick without you Without you I can not move It caught me by surprise You didn’t even let me try! How could you betray me? And dare leave me behind I know it was not your fault I know it was not your goal You know this is what I feel You know this is what I need I understand… But I can’t comprehend, Is what you used to say Save me I’m throwing up It couldn’t get any better, Save me I’m growing up Like imminent danger It arrives too soon It worsens my mood, But I have no say Save me I’m throwing up It couldn’t get any better, Save me I’m growing up Like imminent danger I was just a fool And you broke the rule, But I have no say Time is running out Every days is just a fight I wish you could come out Every hour is filled with doubt I hold your hand at night You whisper it will be fine But you don’t look good to me Why
This seems good for me, I just took up an old novel project from a few years back. Slowly but surely it will get done and I think this would be a good place to start :')
